Creating an account is free. KaziGigs charges a platform fee when a job starts or a service order is paid—the exact amount is shown at checkout or before you confirm a contract and depends on service type and payment method.
For professionals looking to maximize their earnings, we offer optional premium accounts with enhanced features like priority listing, advanced analytics, and increased visibility to potential clients. We also offer subscription plans that reduce per-transaction fees—ideal for service providers with repeat customers or steady client flow who want to keep more of what they earn.

How do I sign up?

  • Clients: Create an account, complete your profile, then post a job or purchase a service package.
  • Professionals: Create an account, complete your profile and skills, submit verification documents (if required), then start bidding on jobs or publishing your services.

How does KaziGigs work for clients?

Post a job (fixed-price or biddable), review offers and professional profiles, chat to confirm details, then hire. You can also purchase service packages for common needs like cleaning, repairs, or beauty services.

How does KaziGigs work for professionals?

Complete your profile, verify your credentials where required, and list your services with pricing—or bid on relevant jobs. Deliver excellent work, earn positive ratings, and unlock more opportunities.

Does KaziGigs guarantee I will get work?

KaziGigs connects clients and professionals but does not guarantee work. Your success depends on demand in your area, profile quality, competitive pricing, response time, and ratings.

How do I close my account?

Go to Dashboard → Account Settings → Delete Account. You will need to complete or close any active jobs and withdraw available balances before deletion.

Can I change my email address or phone number?

Yes. Go to Dashboard → Account Settings → Change Credentials. You may need to verify the new email or phone number.

How do I verify my account?

If verification is required, you will upload a government-issued ID and take a selfie (or follow the steps shown in-app). Verification builds trust with clients and may be required for payouts and certain job categories.

Can I change my name or business name?

Yes. Go to Dashboard → Account Settings → Personal Info. Some changes may require re-verification.

How do I manage my profile and settings?

Use your Dashboard to update your profile, skills, service listings, availability, notification preferences, and payment or payout settings.

Posting Jobs & Listing Services

What if I cannot find my service category?

Choose the closest available category and include clear details in your description. If none fit, contact support—our team can add or map new categories.

What if my job request does not get any responses?

Try improving your post by adding photos, specifying your location, including a budget range, and clarifying timeline and scope. You can also browse professional profiles and send direct invitations.

How long does approval take?

If job or service moderation is enabled, reviews typically complete within the timeframe shown in-app. You will receive a notification once approved.

What is the difference between a biddable job and a fixed-price job?

  • Biddable: Professionals submit offers with their proposed price and approach; you compare and choose.
  • Fixed-price: You set the price upfront (or select an existing service package) and hire or purchase directly.

Payments & Payouts

How do I manage payment methods?

Go to Dashboard → Payments/Wallet → Add or Edit Payment Method. Available options vary by country.

How do I remove or change a payment method?

Go to Dashboard → Payments/Wallet, select the method, then choose Remove or Replace.

When is payment deducted?

Payment timing depends on the job type (fixed-price vs. milestone-based) and your chosen payment method. The app displays the exact timing before you confirm.

Why did my payment fail?

Check your account balance, network connection, and any card or mobile money limits. Wait a few minutes and retry. If the issue persists, try a different payment method or contact support with your order ID.

What if I was charged twice?

Contact support with your order ID and proof of payment (such as a transaction reference or screenshot). Our team will verify and resolve the issue.

How does the KaziGigs wallet work?

Your wallet stores credits and balances for faster checkout and receiving funds. You can top up, make payments, and withdraw funds based on your country's available options.

How do I review invoices and orders?

Go to Dashboard → Orders/Invoices to view details and download invoices.

Disputes & Refunds

What if I am unhappy with the work delivered?

First, communicate directly with the professional through the in-app chat to resolve the issue. If the work does not meet what was agreed upon in the job description, you can request a revision or open a dispute.

How do I open a dispute?

Go to Dashboard → Orders → select the order → Open Dispute. Provide a clear explanation of the issue and attach any supporting evidence (photos, messages, or documents). Our support team will review and mediate.

How long does dispute resolution take?

Most disputes are resolved within 3–7 business days, depending on complexity. Both parties will be notified of updates and the final decision.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis. You may be eligible for a full or partial refund if the professional fails to deliver, the work is significantly different from what was agreed, or the job is cancelled before work begins. Refunds are processed to your original payment method or KaziGigs wallet.

What if the professional cancels the job?

If a professional cancels after you have paid, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method or wallet. You can then rehire another professional or repost the job.

Can professionals dispute a review or client complaint?

Yes. Professionals can respond to disputes through the same resolution process. Our team reviews evidence from both sides before making a decision.

How do I avoid disputes?

Be clear and detailed when posting jobs or describing services. Use the chat to confirm scope, timeline, and deliverables before work begins. Document agreements and milestones within the platform.

Safety & Verification

Why do I need identity verification?

Verification reduces fraud and builds trust between clients and professionals. Some features—such as payouts, high-value jobs, or certain service categories—may require verification.

Can I change my password?

Yes. Go to Account Settings → Security → Change Password.

How do I report spam or harassment?

Use the Report or Block option within the chat (if available), or contact support with screenshots and the user or job reference.

Is my data private?

KaziID is your portable worker trust profile within the Kazi ecosystem. It is a verified summary of who you are, what skills you have, and how you have performed over time—compiled from your real work history on KaziGigs. Think of it as your economic reputation document, built through verified jobs, not just claims.

How does KaziID work?

We manually track and compile your verified data from your activity on KaziGigs (and KaziSupply, if applicable). This includes your identity verification, job completion history, quality ratings, dispute rates, verified certifications, skills training, and professional experience. As you complete more jobs and build your track record, your KaziID profile grows stronger.

What information does KaziID include?

Your job consistency, ratings, and professional conduct serve as proof of income reliability—helping you qualify for tool financing, working capital advances, micro-insurance, and other financial products. Your work on KaziGigs builds more than reputation—it builds financial access.

Who receives my KaziID information?

Your KaziID summary is only shared with institutions that request verified worker information—such as financiers, insurers, training providers, or potential employers—and only with your explicit consent. We never share your personal contact details without your permission.

When you complete training from a recognized provider, we verify and add the credential to your KaziID profile. Unlike paper certificates, these credentials are linked to your actual job performance—creating a complete picture of your skills and how they translate to real results.

Does KaziID cost anything?

No. Your KaziID is free. Workers should never pay to prove their worth. Revenue comes from institutions (financiers, insurers, training providers) who benefit from accessing verified, trusted workers—not from you.

How do I improve my KaziID?

How do I access KaziGigs?

KaziGigs is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can use it directly from your browser on any device—desktop, tablet, or smartphone—without downloading anything from an app store.

What is a PWA?

A Progressive Web App works like a regular website but offers an app-like experience. It loads fast, works offline for certain features, and can be installed on your phone's home screen for quick access.

How do I install KaziGigs on my phone?

  • Android (Chrome): Visit the KaziGigs website → tap the menu (three dots) → select "Add to Home Screen" → confirm. The KaziGigs icon will appear on your home screen just like a native app.
  • iPhone (Safari): Visit the KaziGigs website → tap the Share icon (square with arrow) → select "Add to Home Screen" → confirm.
Once installed, you can open KaziGigs directly from your home screen without opening a browser. 

Will KaziGigs work offline?

Some features—like viewing your profile, saved jobs, and cached content—may be available offline. However, posting jobs, messaging, and payments require an internet connection.

Is there a mobile app coming?

Yes! Native mobile apps for Android and iOS are coming soon. The apps will offer the full KaziGigs experience with enhanced features like push notifications, faster performance, and seamless mobile money integration. Will my account work on the mobile app?

Can I remove a negative review?

Reviews can only be removed if they violate our community guidelines (such as containing offensive language, false claims, or spam). Contact support with specific details if you believe a review should be reviewed for removal.
